Among some of the influences used are Tantric dance from India, and Butoh dance,which was created in Japan, out of the need for healing after World War II. We explore the powerful, unchoreographed somatic dances that can facilitate inner reconnection and healing. As a meditative movement that arises from honoring the internal sense of one’s deeper core, it affords strength and centering to the practitioner.
